This week's entrepreneur of the week is Lamin Jafuneh, the Co-Founder and Manager of Nesthet Clinical Services. Nesthet is a home healthcare company that provides home care services for individuals, the elderly, and persons living with chronic diseases since 2015.
Lamin firmly believes that access to quality healthcare services is a fundamental human right, and this belief is reflected in his company's mission to ensure equitable access to quality healthcare services no matter the location.
Lamin was a part of the second cohort of the startup incubator program when his business was just an idea. Through the incubation program, he benefited from six months of coaching, mentoring, and hands-on entrepreneurship training which helped him to grow his business from an idea to fruition. Currently, the business is hosted at the Startup Incubator co-working space where he continues to benefit from ongoing coaching.
Currently, Nesthet Clinical Services is covering the GBA (Greater Banjul Area) and the West Coast Region. This month, the business launched its first corporate package targeting organizations and companies.
Lamin is a Nurse anesthetist with 15 years of practice across the country, and his professional background and entrepreneurial spirit have helped him to create a business that is making a real difference in people's lives. In addition to running Nesthet Clinical Services, he is also a YALI Regional Fellow 2016 Ghana and Mandela Washington Fellow 2019. We can see that Lamin Jafuneh is a true example of an entrepreneur making a positive impact in the healthcare sector and contributing to the development of the local economy.
